Born in 1982 in Busan, South Korea, Sangkwon LEE graduated in 2009 from Donga University in Busan in the department of plastic art. He continued his artistic studies at the National Busan University in the department of western painting and he obtained a Master's degree in August 2013.

From 2009 he participated in group exhibitions in Busan, Daegu, Seoul and in 2010 he had his first solo exhibition in Busan.

He will then exhibit solo at the Seoul Museum in 2013 and then at the Seolmijae Museum in Gyeonggi in 2014.

Arrived in France, he participated in Parisian salons from 2017 and exhibited personally at the Thuillier gallery in 2017 and 2018.

Sangkwon's talent was quickly recognized: Silver Medal from Arts, Sciences and Letters in 2017, 1st prize from the Jury of Galerie Thuillier in 2018, Special Mention from the President of France Monde Culture 2020.
